Day 1 | VIP Welcome to Tanzania

From the moment you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), your journey is designed to feel effortless. Legacy’s VIP arrival service will welcome and assist you through the VIP/Uhuru Lounge arrival experience, providing a smooth transition from your international flight into Tanzania. Once arrival formalities are complete, your private Legacy representative will escort you to Legendary Lodge, an intimate retreat surrounded by tropical gardens and coffee plantations on the outskirts of Arusha. Settle into your private cottage, enjoy the tranquility of the estate and recover from your international journey at your own pace.

Day 2 | Private Arusha National Park Walking Experience

Your safari begins slowly and intentionally.

After breakfast, depart privately for Arusha National Park, where you will leave the safari vehicle behind for an intimate walking experience accompanied by an armed park ranger. Walking through the African landscape allows you to appreciate details often missed from a vehicle—animal tracks, birds, plants and the subtle signs that reveal how wildlife moves through its environment. Rather than rushing immediately into a full safari schedule, this gentle introduction allows you to reconnect with nature and settle into the rhythm of Tanzania.Return to Legendary Lodge for lunch and an unhurried afternoon. Relax in the gardens, enjoy the lodge facilities or simply take time to yourself before your flight into the Serengeti the following morning.

Day 3 | Fly to Northern Serengeti — Great Migration Without the Crowds

After breakfast, transfer privately to Arusha Airport and board your scheduled flight directly into the Northern Serengeti. Flying removes the long overland journey and delivers you directly into one of Africa's most remarkable wilderness regions. Upon arrival at Kogatende Airstrip, your dedicated Legacy safari guide will be waiting with your private 4x4 safari vehicle. Your first game drive begins almost immediately as you make your way through the northern plains towards Serengeti Bush tops.

After check-in, enjoy a hot lunch and retreat to the privacy of your luxury tented suite during the warmth of the afternoon. Later, venture out again as the temperature cools. Explore the plains during the beautiful evening light, when predators become more active and the Serengeti begins its transition towards night.Return after sunset for an elegant dinner surrounded by the African wilderness.

Day 4 | The Mara River & Great Migration

Today is dedicated entirely to the Great Migration and the Mara River ecosystem.

Depart with your private guide and follow the movement of the wildebeest and zebra herds across the Northern Serengeti. During migration season, enormous herds may gather along the riverbanks as they search for crossing points. The anticipation can be as extraordinary as the crossing itself—thousands of animals may wait, retreat and gather again before suddenly committing to the river. There is no timetable. That is why today's greatest luxury is time and flexibility. Your private guide can respond to current wildlife movements rather than following a fixed route. If activity begins developing along the river, you have the freedom to stay. Away from the crossings, explore the quieter northern plains in search of lions, leopards, elephants and other resident wildlife. Your day is shaped around what nature presents. Return to Serengeti Bushtops for another exceptional evening in the wilderness.

Day 5 | Serengeti From the Sky & Fly to Central Serengeti

For those wishing to experience the Serengeti from an entirely different perspective, begin the morning with an optional private or premium hot-air balloon safari. Rise before dawn and take to the sky as the first light spreads across the plains. From above, the scale of the Serengeti becomes extraordinary—winding rivers, wildlife trails and herds stretching across the landscape below. After landing, celebrate with a traditional English-style bush breakfast. Later, transfer privately to Kogatende Airstrip for your short flight to Central Serengeti. Your Legacy guide will welcome you upon arrival and escort you through the wildlife-rich Seronera landscape to Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti. Settle into the comforts of the lodge and enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure—perhaps beside the infinity pool overlooking the surrounding plains.

Day 6 | Private Central Serengeti Experience — Predators of the Seronera Valley

Today is about experiencing one of the Serengeti's richest wildlife areas without needing to spend the entire day on the road. Depart with your private guide to explore the Seronera Valley, its river systems, open plains and iconic kopjes. Central Serengeti is particularly celebrated for its resident predators. Search for lions resting around rocky outcrops, leopards along the riverine woodland and cheetahs scanning the open plains. Because your safari is private, there is no requirement to move simply because someone else's schedule says so. Spend longer photographing an exceptional sighting, change direction when your guide receives information about wildlife activity, or return to the lodge when you are ready. After your morning exploration, return to Four Seasons for lunch and a leisurely afternoon.

Day 7 | A Final Serengeti Morning & Your Journey Home

Enjoy a relaxed final breakfast overlooking the Serengeti before transferring to the airstrip for your flight out of the wilderness. International Departure Fly from Serengeti to Arusha, where a private transfer will take you to Arusha Coffee Lodge. A private day room will be arranged, allowing you to shower, change, relax and enjoy the lodge before your international journey. At the appropriate time, your private Legacy representative will transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight home. Or continue to Zanzibar for guests extending their journey to the Indian Ocean, fly directly from Serengeti to Zanzibar, avoiding the unnecessary return to Arusha. Your private Zanzibar extension can be arranged separately, creating a seamless transition from the Serengeti wilderness to a luxury beach retreat.
