with a Safari.
Legacy is what remains long after the journey ends. Our story began with a simple act of connection when a traveler visiting Tanzania helped create an educational opportunity that changed the course of our founder’s life.
Our Story
Founder and Director Eugen was born and raised in a small village near Ngorongoro. He grew up with a love of nature and an appreciation for the many travelers who visited the area. It was one such traveler who established the legacy that would later inspire our company name.
Through a local school visit, Eugen met an American traveler who chose to support his education. That opportunity changed the course of his life, opening the door to secondary school, higher education and eventually a university degree.
The generosity of one person created a ripple effect. It gave Eugen the opportunity to build a career, create a company and create employment for others in his community.
That experience shaped the belief at the heart of Legacy Exchange Outfitters: travel can create meaningful connection and lasting opportunity. Today, every journey we design is rooted in that idea.

But Exchange is never one-sided. Our guests also learn from Tanzanian professionals, families and communities, experiencing different cultures, perspectives, traditions and ways of life.
