Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival & private welcome in Entebbe
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport (EBB), where a Legacy representative welcomes you and assists with your private transfer. Settle into your accommodation, recover from the journey and meet your safari specialist or guide for an unhurried briefing. We review the route, daily rhythm, luggage, dietary needs and any optional experiences so you begin the safari knowing exactly what to expect. If your flight arrives early, the remainder of the day stays deliberately light rather than trying to force sightseeing into your arrival schedule.
Stay: Boutique Entebbe hotel · Meals: Dinner
Day 2
Travel to Ziwa & first exploration
After breakfast, leave Entebbe and continue privately toward Ziwa. The transfer is treated as part of the journey rather than lost time: your guide plans sensible comfort stops, points out changes in landscape and, where appropriate, includes wildlife or cultural stops en route. After arriving and settling in, begin a privately guided day shaped around the character of this region, with timing adjusted to wildlife, weather, road conditions and your interests. Your guide provides context throughout so the day feels purposeful rather than rushed. The timing remains flexible so the day can respond to road conditions, seasonal wildlife and how you are feeling. Your guide also adds context on conservation, land use and the people involved in protecting the ecosystem. Return to your lodge or camp with time to refresh before dinner and a briefing for the following day.
Stay: Handpicked lodge or camp · Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Day 3
Full day in Ziwa
Today is devoted to Ziwa, giving you enough time to experience the area without rushing onward. Your private guide plans the strongest hours around local conditions and your interests, with the option of an early start, a relaxed lunch break or a longer full-day outing. Day 4
Travel to Murchison Falls National Park & first exploration

The transfer is treated as part of the journey rather than lost time: your guide plans sensible comfort stops, points out changes in landscape and, where appropriate, includes wildlife or cultural stops en route. After arriving and settling in, begin a full safari day around Uganda’s largest park, combining wildlife-rich savannah with the Nile and the dramatic Murchison Falls landscape. The timing remains flexible so the day can respond to road conditions, seasonal wildlife and how you are feeling. Your guide also adds context on conservation, land use and the people involved in protecting the ecosystem. Return to your lodge or camp with time to refresh before dinner and a briefing for the following day.

Day 9
Final morning & onward departure
Enjoy a final unhurried morning in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Depending on your flight or onward arrangements, there may be time for a short wildlife drive, relaxed breakfast or simply time to enjoy the lodge before departure. Your guide then coordinates the private transfer to Entebbe International Airport and confirms the timing with enough margin for check-in. If you are extending the journey to another East African country, the coast or a mountain program, the handover is arranged as part of the same itinerary so there is no uncertainty between services. Your final documents will show the exact transfer, meal and luggage arrangements for this day.
